Basement remodel update

This is where the vanity will be
This is the shower.

This is the closet and the door to the bathroom.

They finally got the dry wall up! It's not a huge bathroom so my guess is they should be done by the end of the week! Yay! I can't wait to show you how it looks finished!

Look what Brad did this last weekend! He painted and decorated our room! We picked out the color together (Blue-Grey Slate). We love it! It was originally this nasty mint green color. I can now feel relaxed when I spend time in our room. When we finish painting the master bath we will have painted every room on the main floor. I'll have to pull together some before and after photos so you can see just how much better everything looks.

Funny Things My Pets Do

Here are just a few funny things that our dog, waffles and kitty, noodles do.

1. When Waffles wants out of his crate he bites the metal bars. From the outside he looks like a rabid dog.


2. Noodles is our bathroom monitor. He must be in that bathroom any time you are to make sure whatever you are doing is to his approval. If you lock him out he will scratch the door till you let him in.


3. Waffles likes to share his slobbery chew toys. Any time you are sitting on the couch he will come over and chew his slimey bone all over your lap. It leaves a very nasty residue on anthing it touches.



4. Noodles is very jealous of how waffles gets to go outside whenever he wants so he will sit at the sliding door and bat the window, then look at you as if to say, " Waffles got to go out, why can't I?"

5. Waffles and noodles will play chase. Waffles will bark and lunge at Noodles till Noodles has had enough. Then Noodles will chase waffles across the room and swat him in the butt.

Valentines Fun

I thought I'd blab this time about how Brad and I celebrated Valentines Day. We decided to go ahead and have all of our fun on Friday because we both had the day off! I took a sick day...shhhh don't tell work! :) We shopped at Whole Foods for our dinner items and Brad bought me the prettiest tulips!

For dinner we made fillet minion with a red wine mushroom sauce. The sides were Russian Banana fingerling potatoes, spinach, and fresh Italian bread! Brad was in charge of the meat and spinach. I got to do the sauce! All of it was super yummy! I bet we would have paid $80 a plate at a nice restaurant. Here's a picture so all of your mouth's can water!

To finish our great meal we made chocolate covered strawberries! This is going down as one of our best date nights ever!

Pleasant Surprise

Fridays are always very long work days so I love coming home and relaxing. Today I got home and Brad had finished the entire guest room! He painted an accent wall a dark green and the other walls the Navajo Sand. I looks really nice! He had also set up the room with the nice furniture his grandma gave us. We put the pictures up that Holly gave us from our grand canyon hike. Now all of our guests will have a nice relaxing room to sleep in when they come see us.....so come and see us!
